There are two main competitions on Golden Swine Open day.
Stableford individual, securing the winner fame and the Golden Trophy – and the ‘Pass the Pig’ team stableford with the team winners securing a delicious cash prize of £30 each (and runners up bagging £10). You can reacquaint yourselves with the rules here.
The Longest drive (Gunshow) and Closest to pin (Sharpshooter) trophies will be contested as per usual, holes to be announced in due course.
We will be playing from the YELLOW tees. Avoid the one winged Goose.

Fines
Fines are an important part of RareBreeds culture.
There are several types of fine in play on the day. Typical ‘Society’ fines include airshots, not hitting the ball past the reds, extreme faffing (eg with rangefinders), blatant gamesmanship or even outright cheating and general slow play. Fines will also be issued for the losing team and the Pig.
Additional reporting of fine worthy incidents are encouraged… send your observations covertly by DM to either Asa or myself during the round and the committee will consider for approval. For example, club throwing = fine worthy. Endangering another swine or member of the public by not shouting fore, or general dangerous play = fine worthy. Taking four shots to get out of a bunker = fine worthy. Teeing off from the wrong markers = fine worthy. Dressing in rancid gear every year = fine worthy. You get the idea.
Fines will be of the liquid variety, with a choice of Pernod for those not driving, and Jamexican firewater for those that are.
Refusing a fine is severely frowned upon and often results in double measures anyway. Not recommended.
